3 DAYS MOUNT ELGON HIKING & SIPI FALLS TOUR.
Overview.
Hiking is one of the adventures in Uganda that rewards you with the best memories. Therefore, a 3 days safari to Mount Elgon rewards you with great adventure.
It also covers the culture of the Bagishu who live around this mountain, also have a chance to participate in zip lining in Mabira, visit the source of river Nile and view the starting point of the Nile River and hike to the romantic Sipi falls in Kapchorwa with 3 different falls.
Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Travel to Mbale; Hike Sipi falls - Bagishu dance and Music.
Start the journey immediately after the ick from either Entebbe or Kampala. The journey is tremendous as you pass through the Mabira forest where you can get a chance at an optional activity of zip lining.
Then proceed through the sugar and tea plantation and find your way to Jinja where you will have your lunch. Take another jour to Mbale and hike Sipi an interesting feature in eastern Uganda.
Sipi falls hike starts with a short briefing by the local guides and then pass through the Kapchorwa coffee plantations, then hike the 3 different falls. The hike takes approximately 3 hours as you view Mount Elgon. After the hike, you will head to the booked accommodation where you will be entertained with the Bagisu dance and music
Day 2: Hike Mount. Elgon.
Enjoy breakfast as you view Sipi falls at a resort or hotel where you spent a night. Then transfer to the briefing point where the hike starts from. Ensure that you have packed lunch to eat while on the hike of Mount Elgon.
You will start the hike through the montane forest as you spot some creatures that call this national park their homes such as the different bird species, primates and plant species. On reaching the top, you will descend back to the starting point.
Day 3: Travel back to Kampala.
Embark on a journey to Kampala after a relaxed breakfast. Have a stopover in Jinja and visit the mighty source of the river Nile. This will be through a wonderful boat cruise as you cruise past the crocodiles and hippos to the source of the Nile.
Continue with the journey to Kampala and on arrival, you will be dropped at the hotel in case you have another night in Uganda or at the international airport in Entebbe.
