3 DAYS SABYINYO VOLCANO CLIMBING TOUR.

Overview.

This safari will take you to the best of Mount. Sabyinyo summit which will reward you with great views of three East African countries - Uganda, Rwanda and D.R. Congo, as well as Lake Bunyonyi and Lake Kivu.

While on the hike, the slopes of Sabyinyo are home to varied types of vegetation, including swamps and bamboo vegetation and different birdlife and mammals like elephants, golden monkeys and if lucky enough, you can spot mountain gorillas.

The journey to Kisoro which is located in south western Uganda has enroute activities and several stopovers on the Uganda equator monument and Igongo cultural centre.

Detailed itinerary.

Day 1: Depart to Kisoro from Kampala.

Immediately start the safari to Kisoro after breakfast and receiving a briefing. The journey is amazing as you have several stopovers and the major ones at the Uganda equator in Kayabwe for photography and viewing, then head to Mbarara for another stopover at Igongo cultural centre, where you will visit the Ankole-Kigezi museum.

Proceed southwards passing through the Kigezi terraced highlands with great views and arrive in Kisoro town for your night stay.

Day 2: Hike Mount. Sabyinyo.

The adventure will begin after breakfast and briefing at the park headquarters where you are well prepared with enough drinking water, snacks, and appropriate attire like hiking boots, walking sticks, rain jackets and hats. Starting point will be Ntebeko ranger station and then pass through the swamp and bamboo vegetation as you spot some wildlife like birds, mammals like elephants, golden monkeys among others.

Arrive at the summit and view three countries at once, DR Congo, Rwanda and Uganda. In case the weather is clear, you will have a golden opportunity of viewing the two lakes, Lake Bunyonyi in Uganda and Lake Kivu which spans through Rwanda and DR Congo. After an amazing adventure and spending some good time at the summit, you will descend back to Ntebeko station where you will meet with your driver guide and transfer back to the hotel in Kisoro.

Day 3: Travel back to Kampala.

Start the journey back to the capital city of Uganda after your joyful breakfast and then you will be dropped at the airport in Entebbe or any hotel either in Kampala or Entebbe. This brings your 3 days Sabyinyo hiking tour to an end.
