This safari takes you to Kidepo valley national park, to explore the best of this most isolated national park in Uganda. Discovering its true African wilderness through a game drive and community tour to the Karamojong rewards you with the best memorable experience.

Tour Plan

Day 1 Arrival and fly to Kidepo Valley National Park.

On arrival at the airport in Entebbe, our driver-guide will welcome you and make a transfer to Kajjansi airfield where you will get a charter flight to Kidepo valley national park.

This is the most isolated conservation area in Uganda, thus called a true African wilderness. It is home to different mammals including lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, warthogs, and jackals among others.

This destination is also a good birding area and it boasts over 400 bird species including very rare species. You will be welcomed by our tour representative at Apoka airfield in Kidepo and then continue on an evening game drive through the park to the booked safari lodge.

Day 2 Game drive and cultural encounter.

Embark on the morning game drive where you will view different wildlife in the savannah plains. Among others are buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, warthogs and leopards with birds like Abyssinian ground hornbill, love birds among others.

The game drive is amazing with a lot of fun and memorable adventures. Then embark on the afternoon cultural experience as you head to visit the Karamojong communities where you will learn about their unique cultures and ways of life.

Among other activities you may participate in here do the cultural dances, community tours in their homesteads, taste local food among others. In the evening, drive back to the lodge for dinner and night stay.

Day 3 Game drive and fly back to Kajjansi.

Head for another morning game drive to catch up with the missed wildlife and enjoy more of zebras, buffaloes, elephants, jackals and giraffes among others. Then drive back to Apoka airfield to get another charter flight to Kajjansi airfield where you will be dropped at the airport in Entebbe or at a hotel.
