Visit Mgahinga national park during this 3 days safari where you will be able to hike Gahinga Mountain which is part of 8 Virunga Mountains. The hike is interesting as you pass through the forest which is filled with attractions like birds, golden monkeys, red tailed monkeys and mountain gorillas.

Tour Plan
Start the journey to Mgahinga national park – the starting point for Mount. Gahinga hiking and adventure. The journey is amazing and takes about 7-8 hours’ drive with a stopover at the Uganda equator. Mgahinga national park is one of the few national parks in Africa that shelter mountain gorillas.
It is located within the extensive Virunga ranges and it’s the smallest national park in the country with diverse wildlife, culture and stunning landscape. On arrival, you will be driven to the hotel for check-in and relaxation.
Drive to the park headquarters where you will receive briefing and then ready with your drinking water, maybe a snack and then start the hike through the forest.
Here you will spot a number of attractions such as red tailed monkeys, golden monkeys among others and different bird species that sing beautiful songs.
Arrive at the summit and enjoy a view of a caldera swamp, Virunga National Park in D.R. Congo and Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. Take memorable photos and descend back to the starting point where you find the driver waiting for you to make a transfer back to the lodge for your dinner after an hour spent on the summit.
Enjoy breakfast, and then transfer to Kampala with enroute stopovers at different viewing points and attractions. Then, you have options of being dropped at the airport or hotel in either Kampala or Entebbe.
