Accessibility to the Park

Rwenzori Mountains National Park is located in western Uganda, approximately 437 km from Kampala, which is about a 7-8 hour drive. Visitors can also fly to Kasese airstrip or Entebbe International Airport and then take a road transfer to the park.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit is during the dry seasons, from June to August and December to February. These periods offer milder temperatures and clearer skies, ideal for trekking.

Day 4: Trek to Bujuku Hut

 

  • Morning: Trek from John Matte Hut to Bujuku Hut (3,962m), approximately 5-6 hours.

Day 5: Trek to Elena Hut

 

  • Morning: Trek from Bujuku Hut to Elena Hut (4,541m), approximately 4-5 hours.
